God Personally Comes to Protect His Devotees || भगवान स्वयं अपने भक्तों की रक्षा के लिए आते हैं
Once, a king attended a Kirtan being performed by a saint. When the saint noticed the king's arrival, he paused for a moment. However, the king respectfully requested him to continue the melodious Kirtan.While singing, the saint looked at the king and said,
"O King, do you know that God Himself comes to protect His devotees, emptying his own place?"
The king replied,
"I do not understand. God has countless deities and divine beings under His command. Why would He come Himself? He can simply send one of them to help His devotees."
The saint smiled and said, "Come with me to your palace. In front of all your people, I will answer your question in a way you will never forget."
The king agreed, and together they returned to the royal palace.
Upon reaching the palace, the saint requested,
"Please instruct your soldiers to dig a medium-sized pond directly in front of your royal throne." The king ordered his soldiers to do so. Once the pit was dug, the saint asked them to fill it with water, and they obeyed.
The saint then asked,
"King, what is the dearest thing in this world to you?"
The king replied without hesitation,
"My three-year-old son is the most precious person in my life."
The saint requested,
"Please bring your son here."
The little prince was brought before them. The saint gently asked,
"May I hold your son in my arms?"
The king smiled and replied,
"Certainly."
Holding the child lovingly, the saint turned toward the king and said,
"Your Majesty, I apologize in advance for what I am about to do."
Before anyone could understand his words, the saint suddenly threw the child into the water-filled pond.
The king was shocked.
Without thinking for even a single moment, he sprang from his throne and jumped straight into the pond. He lifted his son out of the water and held him tightly in his arms.
Once he realized his son was safe, relief filled his heart. But soon his relief turned into anger.
He shouted,
"Soldiers! Arrest this fake saint! Today he tried to kill my son!"
The saint folded his hands and calmly replied,
" I apologized before my action. I ask only for one moment to explain. After that, you are free to punish me however you wish."
The king allowed him to speak.
The saint said,
"Earlier during the Kirtan, you questioned how God Himself comes to help His devotees instead of sending His divine servants. You wanted practical proof."
He continued,
"Tell me, Your Majesty, when your beloved son fell into the water, why did you jump into the pond yourself? Why didn't you command one of the hundreds of soldiers standing around you to save him?"
The king remained silent.
The saint answered his own question,
"Because your love for your son is so deep that, in that moment, you did not think of anyone else. You personally rushed to save the one you loved the most."
He then looked into the king's eyes and said,
"Likewise, God's love for His true devotees is beyond human understanding. When a devotee calls upon Him with complete faith and love, God does not merely command His celestial beings or divine servants. Out of His infinite compassion, He Himself comes to protect, guide, and save His devotee."
Hearing these words, the king finally understood the saint's teaching.
He bowed before the saint with folded hands, realizing that true love never delegates responsibility—it responds personally.
Moral
True love does not look for someone else to act. Whether it is a loving father or the Supreme Lord, genuine love responds personally. In the same way that a father instinctively rushes to save his child, God Himself comes to protect those devotees who remember Him with complete faith, love, and surrender.
