Tulsi Das Ji’s Journey to Divine Grace in Chitrakoot
Once, in Varanasi, Sant Tulsi Das ji was immersed in deep devotion. With a pure heart and folded hands, he bowed before Hanuman ji, whom he revered as his Guru. In his humility, Tulsi Das ji asked softly,
“Prabhu, where can I receive the divine darshan of my Lord Shri Ram?”
Hanuman ji, filled with compassion, lovingly guided him and said,
“Go to Chitrakoot. Do satsang, immerse yourself in bhakti, and in time, you will surely have the divine sight of Lord Ram.”
Obeying the words of Hanuman ji, Tulsi Das ji left Varanasi and moved to Chitrakoot. There, with unwavering faith, he devoted himself to satsang and the worship of Lord Ram.
It is believed that Lord Ram Himself had stayed in Chitrakoot for 11 years, 11 months, 11 days, and 11 seconds. From this, the sacred mystery of 11:11 was revealed.
Even today, when we coincidentally see the time 11:11 on the clock—be it morning or night—it is considered a divine signal. In that moment, angels and higher beings are said to listen to our innermost prayers. One must not deliberately seek this time, but if it appears before us by chance, we should immediately connect our heart to God and pray sincerely.
Just as Hanuman ji’s guidance bore fruit for Tulsi Das ji, his devotion in Chitrakoot finally blessed him with the most awaited moment—the divine darshan of Lord Shri Ram.
Thus, the tale of Chitrakoot reminds us that faith, satsang, and sincere devotion open the doors to God’s eternal grace, and the sacred numbers like 11:11 carry deep spiritual blessings for those who believe.
